We are looking for a data platform engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data infrastructure and services in GCP. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in GCP. You must collaborate with data teams to build high-quality data products. If you’re passionate about data infrastructure, automation, and building reliable systems, we’d love to meet you.

You will:

• Set up data streams to load data from various business systems using API, Cloud SQL, Scripts, FTP/SFTP, etc. 
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, Dataflow, and Workflow.; Develop infrastructure code (IaC) for data services using Terraform.  

• Automate build, test, deployment, scaling, and failover of data services. 

• Implement data governance, access control, and compliance best practices working closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure data availability, performance, and security compliance 

• Monitor the health, troubleshoot any issues or incidents, optimize the data platform performance, reliability, cloud costs and query performances to enhance data warehouse responsiveness and executing necessary upgrades 

• Develop and maintain documentation for the data products, including data dictionaries and technical specifications. 

• Continuously learning and improving skills and knowledge and staying up-to-date with the latest DataOps techniques and best practices.  

We ask:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and high level of English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of GCP.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering/DevOps role.
• Knowledge of GIT, CI/CD and DevOps practices in a data context.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as python and SQL.
• Experience with agile working processes.
• Hands-on experience with the DevOps tools like GCP cloud build or Azure DevOps.
