The Internal Control Specialist is responsible for supporting second-line risk and control activities, primarily focusing on testing the effectiveness of implemented controls. The role involves performing control assessments, documenting results, and ensuring that control activities meet internal and external compliance requirements.

You will:

• Test (key) controls in the Internal Control Framework to determine their effectiveness, ensuring consistency and accuracy in execution.
• Document test results, identify potential control weaknesses, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of control (self-)assessments and collection of supporting documentation.
• Support the control assessment process by identifying compliance issues and control gaps.
• Maintain structured records of control testing outcomes to support internal reporting and improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Internal Control Framework by following established methodologies and procedures.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in internal control, audit, risk management, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of internal controls, risk management principles, or financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in control testing.
• Experience with and/or extensive knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Interest in learning internal control frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
